Tracee Ellis Ross and Keke Palmer have plenty to celebrate after Friday night’s Daytime Emmy Awards, where both women took home trophies for projects they helped bring to life behind the scenes.

For Ross, the victory came with an extra reason to celebrate. Just one day after turning 54, the “black-ish” star won her first-ever Emmy for her Roku series, “Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross,” which earned Outstanding Travel and Adventure Program at the 53rd annual ceremony in Los Angeles.

“Wow, how fun is this?” Ross said while accepting the award, thanking the countries of Morocco, Mexico and Spain, where the show’s first season was filmed. “I’m an Emmy winner!”

The milestone was especially sweet for Ross, who had previously received multiple Primetime Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Rainbow Johnson on “black-ish” but had never taken home a trophy.

On Instagram, the actress celebrated both the award and her fashion independence.

“I won an EMMY for my show! I also styled myself and did my hair! Today was fun! Happy birthday to me! Hee Heeeee,” she wrote.

The travel series follows Ross as she explores destinations around the world on her own, embracing the freedom, discovery and occasional challenges that come with solo travel.

Meanwhile, Palmer added another Emmy to her collection, winning Outstanding Daytime Short Form Program for “Glam Through the Ages,” a KeyTV Network production she executive produced.

The series explores the history of beauty and glamour, highlighting the ways fashion, hairstyles and self-expression have evolved alongside cultural representation.

Speaking to “Extra” backstage, Palmer said the recognition was particularly meaningful because of what she hopes to accomplish through her network.

“I started Key TV Network and I really just wanted to be able to produce work that would give other people a platform,” she explained, emphasizing her desire to create opportunities for other creatives.

Palmer, who previously earned Primetime Emmys for “Keke Palmer’s Turnt Up With the Taylors” and hosting “Password,” described the Daytime Emmy as an encouraging affirmation of the work she’s doing as a producer.
